The Astrology of the Tarot |
Major Arcana
|
The Major Arcana are rites of passages that we all experience in life. We are all born, we all go through childhood, adolescence, adulthood, middle age and eventually death. The Major Arcana provides us with experiences with our parents, depression, our darker persona, hope, and optimism. We learn balance, the ability to fight for what we believe in and develop patience. Eventually, through learning experiences we begin to integrate our unconscious material of the psyche and we experience wholeness. According to Jung, all these experiences are archetypal regardless of our race, religious experiences, gender, orientation or nationality. Through understanding these phases of life, we are offered great relief in knowing that it is a process that on one level or another we all experience. |
