Happy Friday.  The Moon continues its journey through the sign of Taurus through most of the day.  Our minds will still be on our money and the need to build tangible and reliable structures will be important to us today.  During the late morning hours, the Moon will oppose frustrating Saturn so feelings of insecurity and doubts may arise, but remember lunar aspects resolve themselves rather quickly.  It’s best to avoid negative thoughts or self-defeating mental scripts at this time.

The Moon goes void of course at 11:17 AM EST and its best to not begin anything new or sign documents at this time.  The Moon will remain void until 8:45 PM when it will move into mercurial and social Gemini.

Today, the Moon continues to move through the sign of Taurus and we experience the monthly cycle of the Full Moon.  Yesterday, I wrote about the sensual side of the Taurean Moon and Taurus does love the finer things of life, but Taurus also rules our finances and resources.  The Full Moon is a great opportunity to do intention work on our finances in order to improve our resources – which is ironic considering the Taurean Full Moon occurs right before the holiday season.  However, getting to the roots of what money really means is probably the most eye opening use of this ripe energy.

I have believed for a long time that the greatest book of revelation is not bound within the Holy Bible, but sits in our purses or on our desktop – it’s our checkbook.  By analyzing our ledger we can easily see what gives us meaning and gives us a hint to what we currently value because what we value is what we spend our money on.

Take some time today to look at where your resources are being spent.  Are you being overly wasteful?  If so, why are you wasting your money?  Are you being excessively fragile?  If so, why are you afraid of spending money?  Next, look at where your resources are being spent and analyze whether or not your expenditures are in alignment with your value system.  Then do your intention work to bring in the resources you desire.

October has come to an end and despite two rather intense eclipses and a Mercury retrograde, the energy of the month was rather easy and we had minimal amounts of difficult aspects to deal with.  Well, as I promised in a post last month that would change in November – and November has arrived.

Today, the Moon moves into the sign of Aries which is known for its impatience, intense, abrupt, often angry and impulsive behaviors.  It’s not an easy lunar sign and with the Sun being in transformative and intense Scorpio these feelings and emotions can be intensified.  The Moon makes several difficult aspects – Moon square Mars, Moon square Pluto, Moon conjunct Uranus – and this could prove to create discord as we go through the day.

However, there is always an anecdote to every astrological aspect and/or position.  The essence of these planets are obstacles that may present themselves and make it hard for you to get what you want.  This could bring difficulties (new and old) that come to the surface that leave us rather frustrating and managing some rather uncomfortable feelings – especially when we are facing adversity.  These aspects recommend that we let go of all the circumstances in our life that are preventing us from transforming into whom we wish to become and those circumstances with make themselves known today.  It’s also important not to react to our emotions and let them get the best of you.  Feel them, embrace them, and understand the roots of your emotions, but don’t let them control you.

Today, we have a lot of astrological energies to discuss, so let’s just get started!

First, Mercury in Libra will sextile Jupiter in Leo.  Opportunities abound today if you are willing to look for them.  You will notice your spirits upbeat and have an optimistic and positive view of yourself and others.  Our second astrological aspect is Venus in Scorpio sextile Pluto in Capricorn.  You will find your emotions more intense than normal, and you will find it necessary to feel close to those you love.  Your passions will be in high gear and you will need an outlet to express them.  As a bonus, opportunities to deepen your relationship may present themselves.  Finally, Mars in Capricorn will sextile Neptune in Pisces.  Doing things to help your fellow man and being their emotionally for others will prove beneficial and rewarding to you at this time.  Take this time to be a blessing to those around you.

Moon in Aquarius on Halloween 2014It’s the last day of the business week and the Moon continues its trek through social Aquarius which is an amazing energy for the ever so public holiday of Halloween.  This energy is great for connecting with friends and having an amazing time. On the spiritual level, Halloween is associated with the power of death and regeneration (after all it occurs in the sign of Scorpio) and this is a powerful time to let go of the old and begin to embrace the new in your life – this could be old relationships, old family dramas, old dysfunctional behaviors etc.   Frankly put, if it’s not working its time to let go of dead works.

Astrologically, today is a lunar day.  During the morning hours, opportunities for unexpected events or encounters could prove to be positive.   You can expect discussions about the future including the potential for promotions or new opportunities that could fall in your lap.  Later this evening, the Moon will oppose Jupiter providing a bit of fun and enjoying for your All Hallows Eve!  Just remember, nothing in excess!

Today, the Moon continues its trek through responsibility oriented Capricorn.  Our focus will be on getting things done, achieving goals, building structure, and securing our success because physical security and day-to-day reliability matters at this time.

The Moon makes several aspects throughout the day that are rather challenging.  First up is a conjunction to volatile Pluto which can bring a feeling of being emotionally overwhelmed during the early morning hours.  Secondly, the square to Uranus after day break can rattle our cages as unexpected events or circumstances could prove annoying.  The trend continues in the afternoon as the Moon squares Mercury which could indicate difficulties communicating our thoughts, ideas, and opinions to others.  Finally, things should settle down a bit during the evening hours as the Moon creates a beneficial aspect to Saturn.

Remember, lunar aspects are quick and feeling, so try not to let them ruin your day.
